In observance of the Consumer Welfare Month Celebration every October, DTI Misamis Occidental Provincial Office through the Consumer Protection and Advocacy Bureau (CPAB) conducted the DTI Consumer Fun Run 2019 last Sunday, October 27 at 4:30 in the morning City Hall Grounds. With the theme, “Sustainable Consumption: Understanding the Impact of Consumer’s Choices in a Shared Environment”, MSME’s and large-scale business owners and consumers in Ozamiz City as well as in the entire province were invited.
The event was hosted by Kuya Rio “Taz” De Barras and started out with a warm-up in the form of Zumba dance party. Then Sir Johann Dagandara stated the mechanics of the 5K route from City Hall to MHARS Regional Training and Teaching Hospital vice versa. My apologies for not getting the names of the winners because after the run, I assisted our wellness coaches in serving the public with free wellness evaluation. Just like what we did during the University Days of LSU Ozamiz, people came to know the benefits of being aware early of our health status. Watch out for more of this as we go around the city and the whole of Misamis Occidental for free body scanning!
Soon after, we had breakfast at the place of Ma’am Elvira D. Tan, chair of the provincial and regional MSMED Council. There we had fellowship with the staff of DTI Misamis Occidental, winners, and guests. Now say hello to our exchange student from Colombia, Federico! 🙂
Thank you, DTI for initiating this activity as we ran for our rights as consumers! 🙂 Do check out related posts below for more activities of DTI Misamis Occidental!
