In response to the growing need for additional support from the private sector for our frontliners battling the CoViD-19 pandemic, La Salle University Engineers and the De La Salle Ozamiz Brothers Community with the support of De La Salle Philippines started the production of face masks, aerosol boxes, and sanitation tents. These will be distributed to the local medical institution mandated by the DOH to be the Center of CoViD patients and to the Barangay Health Workers in Ozamiz City.

Let me honor our very own Lasallian Engineers who have initiated production of face masks, aerosol boxes and quarantine tents. Engr. Flor Cabang (VC Admin), Engr. Chit Padilla, Engr. Mar Joseph Edjan and Engr. Esmael Larubis together with the General Services Team have been working in prototyping designs and are set to fabricate as soon as possible. Animo LSU Ozamiz!

Aside from that, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Chiedel Joan San Diego together with the University Student Governor Miss Twinkle Olmedo spearheaded the distribution of food packages to the students who were held up in the dormitory due to the lockdown. Our security and utility staff also received their share for their family’s consumption.
Kudos to the LSU Administration most specially to Br. Butch for the initiative to act as one in these most trying times. Thank you also to the sponsors for this project to materialize. May the Lord God bless your generous hearts! Together, we can survive this pandemic. Stay positive, there is hope for the future! So STAY AT HOME to help flatten the curve (stop the spread) and PRAY fervently to God who allows all these things to happen for a reason.
Credits to Engr. Flor and Sir Joemari Gapol for the photos. 🙂
