Quarantivities by JCI Zugbuana

Once a Jaycee, always a Jaycee! “Service to humanity is the best work of life” is ingrained in my heart. Though our chapter has been inactive for 7 years now, still I’m doing my fair share on being a young and active citizen. From being a baby Jaycee to becoming an LO President at age 29, this is what Junior Chamber International (JCI) taught me – to be of a good contribution to humanity.

In line with this, a ladies’ chapter in Cebu, JCI Zugbuana launched its latest project as a way of fighting our battle against CoViD-19 which they entitled Quarantivities by JCI Zugbuana. “Quarantivities” is a combination of 2 words – quarantine and activities. We’re under community quarantine for more than a month now and staying at home was made very productive through a plethora of activities brought to us by these brilliant and amazing ladies. Scroll down below to know how creative they are in this program!

Week 1 was so exciting for me when I didn’t miss any of the live webcast on FB! Here are my snaps as I tried to document my Quarantivities experience!

Day 1 and Day 2 when I learned new asanas from Yoga with Sepf and I had intense cardio exercise from Home Workout with Brij! By the way, it was my former junior high schoolmate, Brigitte Lim-Mueller who invited me to Quarantivities by JCI Zugbuana. Thank you so much, Brij for making me have my quarantine 5 o’clock habit! 🙂

Day 3 was Life Talk with Jarra wherein she shared about the annoying features of the mind and the WOOP Method. I will surely keep this in mind for me to check every now and then what makes me do the “Oh, my God” and go “neutral” factors in my life cycles! Way to go, gurl! 🙂

Inspired by Hannah’s Baking Tips and Tricks, I tried my hands on baking again! But I had our native bibingka with keso de bola as experiment. Thank goodness it went well in the oven! Haha! The Coco Sugar I used is manufactured by the Municipal Women Federation of Plaridel, Inc.! You may reach them through 09214396682 for orders!

Days 5, 6, and 7 were Vegan Cooking with Divine, Calligraphy with Jwen, and Guided Meditation with Holly. Spending too much time in my tiny garden this quarantine season made me reap some fruits of my hard labor. To protect me from insect bites, I always have Fascino Citronella Mosquito Repellent Body Spray on. You may have it delivered on your doorstep thru Lazada here. I also sell potted herbs for your healthy cooking. Hehe…. By the way, trying my hands on calligraphy was very new to me and I also got the chance to clear my mind by the end of Week 1. I did my own meditation diffuser blend and you may also visit Fascino Fragrances and Soapworks for your order! 🙂

Getting it on for Week 2! Zumba with Kirstie jumpstarted the week and Herbalife Nutrition Shake is always great after every workout sesh!

Glamming up for Makeup 101 with Kate was an awesome break from no-powder-no-lipstick-and-no-combing-of-hair days. It just felt really great being pretty again! Hehe….

And to follow thru with the kikayness, Fashion Illustrations were demonstrated by Joanne Andrea. Here’s what she did for me and I am so elated! I fell in love with her stylish illustration and I’m having this as my phone’s wallpaper. For more of Joanne’s creative artworks, do follow her on IG @joanity! 🙂

For Power Talk with MJ, I learned the 6 Human Needs which are as follows:

  1. Certainty
  2. Variety
  3. Love and Connection
  4. Significance
  5. Growth
  6. Contribution

And for my take-away, I decided to create an expanded version of myself that’s why I accepted the challenge of going live for yoga through Women Empowering Women (WEW) Philippines! I know I am under qualified for this but I really love sharing yoga to others for its handful benefits so I said yes. Hope my viewers will just bear with me. Hehe!

My afternoon snack in my tiny garden was baked by my sissy June Ann. It’s perfect for her first time! ☕️

Now Rae’s Food Photography Tips was very informative! It’s actually outcomes-based education of Optics as she talked about the types of light and different angles. I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned to my Physics majors once school resumes! Plus a bonus on how to use Adobe Lightroom, it’s a must-watch so better check it out!

HOW TO ACCESS: Simply visit these lovely ladies’ FB page (Quarantivities by JCI Zugbuana) and back-view all their daily 5PM FB Live Webinar Series. Thank you so much, ladies for my latest 2-week 5PM habit! And oops, they’re also raising funds for a cause. Kindly check out their gogetfunding to help Cebu as the Queen City of the South is fighting for her crown!

And I’m surprised they’re on their Week 3 now! Congratulations, ladies for sustaining us with very productive, informative, and creative daily quarantine activities! 🙂 Kudos to your 2020 LO President Gail Lim for this! I know how tough it is to be a president of an organization but it is so worth all our effort come October as you’ll be receiving your gavel! 🙂
